Prayer changes spiritual atmospheres. And many cities are not seeing the breakthrough that they want to see because they haven't changed the spiritual atmsopheres through prayer and worship. The Kingdom Impact Network is pioneering a ministry as part of our Engage efforts called Prayer Shift to address this reality.
What's A Prayer Shift?
A Prayer Shift is a 24-hour prayer event that catalyzes unity in the body of Christ and sparks bold prayer by bringing together believers from at least 12 different churches for a common purpose: to pray together for the Lord to shift to our families, cities, and nations.
The idea is simple: Everyone begins together on a Friday at 7pm local time. Everyone ends together on Saturday at 7pm. Each of the 12 churches / groups takes a two-hour prayer shift, so that 24 hours of prayer and worship - in unity - fills cities around the world on the same day.
Jesus prayed for our unity in John 17:21, asking that all believers may be one just as He and the Father are one. In response to this prayer, we're following up on inaugural Prayer Shift from Passover weekend with our second Prayer Shift on October 3-4, 2025, which is the weekend of Yom Kippur. We're trusting God for a great outpouring in cities around the world. Currently we have six cities participating in Prayer Shift this weekend. We invite you to pray for these cities. Our next Prayer Shift event will be in April 3-4, 2026 in conjunction with Passover Weekend, which is also Easter Weekend. What better way to celebrate Easter than by having 24-hours of prayer and worship to the Lord.
